Denmark has been a popular choice for international students for many years, and it’s no surprise that the country has become one of the most popular destinations for students who want to study in Europe. Language

Danish is the official language of Denmark, and it’s also the main language spoken by nearly all Danes. If you’re planning to study in Denmark, make sure that your native tongue is one of these five:

German (Tysk)

Admission Requirements

When you apply to study in Denmark, you’ll need to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You should also have good TOEFL or IELTS scores and a good GPA. If you don’t have these qualifications, then you may be able to take an exam at the Danish Ministry of Education and Science (understandably).

You’ll also need an essay on why studying abroad would benefit your future career development as well as why being in Denmark is beneficial for your academic career.

Internship (Work Placement)

The internship is a work placement. It is required of many degrees, including some master’s and doctoral programs as well as most bachelor’s degree programs.

Internships can be paid or unpaid and may be in the field of study or not. They can also be part-time or full-time; however, it is generally recommended that they last at least six months (1 semester) before you graduate from your program so that you have enough time to complete your internship project successfully.

Transcripts

If you are an international student, you will need to send your transcript directly from your university to the Danish university you are applying to.

Transcripts must be translated into Danish before they can be sent using the online application system. They must be translated as soon as possible so that they arrive on time for Uppsala University’s admission committee to evaluate them and make their final decision based on this information alone (no other documentation will be required).

What are the requirements for studying in Denmark?

You must be a citizen of a country that has an agreement with Denmark. If you are not, but have studied in Denmark before, you may also apply.

You must have completed your secondary education or have a certificate of completion.

You must have at least 2 years of higher education (preferably more than 3).

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the start date of your studies in Denmark.

If applicable: health insurance is required if you do not already have one and if it does not cover all expenses incurred during treatment abroad
