The International Entrepreneur Rule

The International Entrepreneur Rule is a program that allows foreign entrepreneurs to immigrate to the United States and start a new business. The rule was implemented in January 2017 and was scheduled to end on September 30, 2018. However, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it would extend this deadline by two years until March 14, 2020. This extension gives foreign entrepreneurs more time to apply for an EB-5 visa or another type of immigrant visa that will allow them to start a business in America and eventually apply for permanent residence (a green card).

The International Entrepreneur Rule applies only if you meet all four criteria:

You are at least 18 years old;
You have at least $500K invested in your startup company;
Your startup company has created or will create at least five full-time jobs; and
You have lived and worked outside the U.S. for at least two years before applying under this program

EB-5 Visa Program

An EB-5 visa program is a good option for you if you are looking to obtain permanent residency in the United States. It provides an excellent way of gaining access to a U.S. green card, as well as some additional benefits that make your investment worthwhile.

Who is eligible for an EB-5 Visa?

The only requirement is that you have either invested $1 million or $500,000 into a business or project that creates or preserves at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers and their families. You can also invest $500,000 if this investment results in the creation or preservation of at least 40 full-time jobs for U.S employees and their families and meets other requirements listed below:

EB-1 Visa Program

Under the EB-1 Visa Program, an alien may be classified as an alien of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) will evaluate your qualifications on a case-by-case basis to assess whether you meet their criteria for either EB-1A or EB-1B classification. If so, you will be eligible for permanent residency without having to demonstrate continuous presence in the United States for at least one year before filing your application for adjustment of status (I-485). You will also not have to file any labor certifications with USCIS if you are seeking employment-based permanent residence under this category. However; it does require certain supporting documentation such as letters from experts vouching for your work in the field of endeavor as well as documentation demonstrating that you’ve been recognized internationally as being outstanding in your field.

After receiving approval from USCIS, which could take up to 90 days or more depending on current processing times at that time – then they can send an I-797 Notice of Action indicating approval along with your EAD card within a few weeks – when this happens we highly recommend taking immediate steps towards applying for citizenship through naturalization so that once all paperwork has been submitted everything is progressing smoothly towards getting approved!

EB-2 Visa Program

The EB-2 visa program is for people with an advanced degree or its equivalent, a master’s degree.

You must have a job offer from a US employer. This is the first step in getting an EB-2 visa, so it’s important to find out if your company can sponsor you before applying.

There are three ways to qualify for an EB-2 visa:

You have at least one year of experience at a job that required the same level of expertise as your current position (you must also meet other education requirements). If you don’t have enough work experience, but do have another kind of qualifying credential (like membership in the professional organization), you may still be eligible under this category.
Your employer has offered you employment at least as specialized as what they normally offer others in similar positions within their company (and again, if necessary, you’ll need to show that there aren’t many people like yourself who could do this work).

The EB-3 Visa program is for skilled workers who have a job offer from a U.S. employer. To qualify for this visa, you must:
