York University offers the finest Undergraduate Scholars Entrance International Awards with Distinction for international students who are intending to enroll in undergraduate degree programs at the university.

The awards program recognizes outstanding academic performance, leadership abilities, and potential as a leader in their chosen field of study.

Why You Need This Program

The purpose of this program is to provide financial aid for international students who are intending to enroll in an undergraduate degree program at The University of British Columbia.

The application deadline is May 31st, 2020.

This scholarship will be awarded automatically to eligible students at the point of admission.

  • You will be automatically considered for this scholarship at the point of admission.
  • You must apply for admission by June 30th, 2020.
  • Your family income does not need to be low-income but it cannot exceed $50k/year (based on 2016 Census data).

Candidates with outstanding academic merit and strong leadership qualities are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible for this program, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
  • Be in good standing at the university (you will need to provide proof of your enrollment status and graduation/completion date)

Succeeding in a first-class Honours program with high standing or being admitted directly from secondary school as a full-time student in an undergraduate degree program (including Combined BBA/BBA) at York University.

To be eligible for an International Award, you must:

  • Be a full-time student. Students enrolled in a full-time degree program are considered part of the undergraduate population at York University and do not qualify for an International Award.
  • Be admitted to York University as a first-year (freshman) student or enter the program directly from secondary school as a full-time student who has completed their high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have applied by June 30th of your first year at York University to join one of our programs that leads directly into graduate studies following completion of your undergraduate degree program (including Combined BBA/BBA).

Applying for this Studentship, you need to take admission to a bachelor’s degree coursework at the university. After being enrolled, you will be automatically considered for this education award.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to apply for admission by June 30th and apply for a low-income family. You will also have to hold a high school degree certificate or equivalent certificate (or its equivalent).

You may be eligible if:

  • You have graduated from high school within the past three years; or
  • Your home country is not one of those countries listed below: * Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland; * Germany, France, and Italy; * Japan; * Mexico; * South Korea; * the United Kingdom

To be eligible, candidates must have applied for admission by June 30th and are preferably from low-income families.

Candidates must also have:

  • A Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • A full-time student status (minimum 3.0 credits/semester average); and
  • Been enrolled as an undergraduate student in a bachelor’s degree program at York University since September 1st of this year or earlier.

Applicants must hold a high school degree certificate

To be eligible for an undergraduate scholarship, the applicant must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed secondary school.

Students who do not meet this criterion may still apply for Undergraduate Scholars Entrance International Awards with Distinction in Canada if they can demonstrate their academic abilities through other means.

  • High school diploma or equivalent: Applicants must have graduated from one of the following types of institutions: public schools; private schools approved by provincial authorities; international schools that offer Canadian curriculum (e.g., French Immersion) and meet certain minimum standards set by the Ministry of Education of Ontario; CEGEPs (junior colleges); universities where students are expected to take courses such as English as a Second Language (ESL), French as an Additional Language, Aboriginal Studies/Culture Studies and others related to Indigenous studies at UOIT’s campus in Toronto
